Recording exhaust sounds is quite challenging. I’ve been interested for a while, so I purchased the following equipment to give it a try

immediately attached it to the rear window using a tripod mount, but the wind noise was terrible and unusable, so I added a wind jammer from Zoom
I’ll be switching to a Saclam muffler soon, so I’m planning to record it.
