The last oil change was on 1/3. It’s been about 3 months, so it’s time for the usual change cycle. Distance driven was only 657km lol. I wanted to measure oil consumption, so I tried draining from the bottom this time

The garage jack I got is the SIGNET 2.5 ton aluminum jack. Despite having this load capacity and being able to lift up to 475mm, it’s lightweight at only about 25kg. Almost 4L of oil drained out, and I was surprised that it had barely decreased at all. Considering I hit VTEC when I drive, this is impressive. As expected from a Spoon B18C

The last time I had the oil changed by draining from the bottom was at TYPE ONE, and they had put a marker on the drain bolt – such careful work. I love attention to detail like that. This time I removed the bolt, so I replaced the washer with a genuine part
- Oil drain gasket 94109-14000
- Oil filter: HAMP Synergy H1540-RTA-003
- MOTUL H-TECH100 5W30
I wanted to do a test run, but it got late, so that’ll have to wait for another time
