I decided to install the new front fender that I had purchased in 2019

Here’s a comparison between the old and new ones – the difference in blackness is obvious

My DB8 has this splitter installed, so I first needed to remove it

However, this splitter was secured with 19mm bolts in hard-to-reach places for added strength, along with multiple small 10mm nuts – I couldn’t have removed it without my MAC wrenches…

When I removed the right inner fender, I found that the resonator bracket had broken…

The bracket on the other side was in the same condition – essentially floating in mid-air. I immediately contacted the dealer about parts, but got the usual “need to check / out of stock” response

There’s no point searching for something that doesn’t exist, and it annoyed me to leave a non-functioning part in place, so I removed the resonator. I’ll think about the air cleaner later

Moving on, after replacing the inner fender – when this area is clean, it instantly feels like a new car
