Since I can’t ride due to a blown engine, I’m working on restoring the headlights. Here’s how it looked after opening the housing and cleaning the inside. I cleaned the internal chrome with silicone remover and protected it with silicone oil. I removed as much butyl as possible.
Applied new butyl rubber to the edges.
Closed the housing. Since the clear lens has already been sanded, I’ll be applying urethane clear coat next. Click here for the painting process.
