One day when I went out for a break-in drive. I usually never ride during hot daytime hours, but when I stopped at a traffic light with the AC running, the engine made a whirring sound. I checked the RPM and it was over 3,000, and it stayed that way.
Wondering what was wrong, I called TYPEONE. Since it only occurred under conditions of high outside temperature and AC use, they determined it was a faulty electronic valve and ordered the part.
It’s such a small part but costs 17,000 yen… I don’t even know when it was last changed, so I replaced it as a preventive measure as well.
Part number: 36450-P6T-S01

The electronic valve that was installed was completely black. The inside of the new one is pure white. After replacement, it stays stable at 1,000 RPM, so it seems this was the culprit.
These days I’m thinking I need to seriously consider securing spare parts.
