With rain in the forecast for Friday, I found some free time and headed to Sodegaura Forest Way.

My friend and I compared our cars on the track—his FK8 and mine. The stability of the latest model is incredible. Step on the gas and it practically warps forward. The cornering wasn’t as understeery as I expected either; the nose tucks in nicely. It’s a great car, though I kept getting startled by the occasional electronic intervention.
When chasing in my DB8, I was clearly faster on corner entry, but once the car changed direction, I’d get left behind in an instant, only to catch up again at the next corner entrance—over and over.
I didn’t want to break anything, so I pushed it and experimented within reasonable limits.

One thing I can say for sure—the sound is amazing. It was my first time chasing my own car, and that VTEC sound was absolutely electrifying.
The weather held up somehow, and it turned out to be a perfect track day—overcast and cool.
