About

I’m living in Japan and have been driving my Honda Integra Type R (DB8) for seven years — and I have no intention of stopping.

Both my DB8 and S2000 were built by TYPEONE, a shop I trust completely. The engines have been swapped to Spoon-built units, so these aren’t stock cars by any means. They’re the result of years of thought, money, and genuine passion for what Honda was doing in the 1990s.

What keeps me coming back to these cars is simple: driveability and the sound of VTEC. There’s nothing quite like a naturally aspirated Honda at high revs. The DB8 is FWD, the S2000 is FR — two completely different experiences, and I love both for different reasons.

I do most of my own maintenance, working out of a garage and warehouse in the Tokyo area. This blog is where I document that work — the restorations, the tuning, the small victories and occasional frustrations that come with keeping 90s Honda sports cars on the road.

If you’re visiting Japan and want to experience JDM Honda culture firsthand, I also offer tours. Check the Tour page.
