Creaking Noise from arm

Maintenance

A creaking sound every time I go over a gap. It had been faintly making noise since I first started driving the car, but recently the sound had gotten louder

I thought it might be due to the temperature, but when I took my wife to Hakone, she said, “It sounds like a light truck when it shakes…”

To find the source of the abnormal noise, I removed the wheels and lifted the hub with a jack to check the front and rear arms. I found that when the rear trailing arm moved, it was making an unfortunate creaking sound

Having identified the location, I consulted with TYPEONE. They recommended molybdenum grease, but since I didn’t have any on hand and wasn’t sure which one to get, I decided to try Rigidcollar grease

This Rigidcollar grease was applied to the wheel bolts when the car was delivered, and I was impressed by the smooth feeling when turning the wheel nuts. It worked perfectly on the trailing arm as well

The gaps that used to cause creaking no longer produce any abnormal noise, and I can now drive smoothly. Following the recent mission oil change, the suspension noise countermeasures are now complete
