The RS-G I had been using in my AUDI. I was thinking I needed to get rails for the Integra Type R, but since the DB8 came with factory RECARO seats, I thought I might be able to reuse the rails and decided to give it a try.

The seat mounting bolts are 12mm. The rear bolt covers can be removed by prying them off with a flathead screwdriver.

After removing the seat mounting bolts, lift the seat from the driver’s side toward the rear seat and disconnect the seatbelt wiring. You can’t unplug the connector without breaking the plastic part securing it on the left side, so I cut it with nippers.

The factory RECARO rails and factory RECARO seat are secured here with 10mm bolts, so I disassembled them using a box wrench.

Once the rails and seat are separated, secure the full bucket seat side brackets to the factory rails with M6 bolts and nuts. I was worried about the left and right notches being misaligned, but even if they are, you can just adjust each side’s notch individually to match, so it wasn’t a problem at all.

After completing the work on both sides, just mount the full bucket seat from the side and the RS-G installation on the factory RECARO rails is complete.

I’m satisfied because the seat cushion height ended up being the same as the factory seat (if it gets lower, visibility gets worse and I don’t like that…).
