Installing SACLAM Exhaust on Integra Type R (DC2/DB8)

Tuning/Custom(e

It wasn’t when I started driving the Integra—ever since I first got into the genre of cars called sports cars, I had always thought “someday, SACLAM,” and finally that day has come

I had thought minor modifications to the production DC2 layout would work, but optimizing the pipe layout for the DB8 required much more work than expected, and ended up taking up the craftsman’s entire day

As for the sound quality—previously, this car had a distinctive sharp, metallic-edged sound that was quite prominent, but with SACLAM, it produces a smooth “kwaaaan” sound with softer edges. The way the tone changes depending on throttle opening and how quickly you open it is exactly why it’s referred to as a wind instrument

The idle is quiet enough to not be noticeable at all, but when you step on it, you’re treated to a delightful sound. I don’t know how many people out there use car exhaust sound videos as background music while working like I do, but if you’re one of those people, this is an exhaust that will satisfy you

As for the all-important exhaust sound, I tried recording it. I think I’ll do a better job next time, but even this one should give you a sense of the atmosphere (exhaust sound only)
