Installed the NSX Type R horn button ring that I had removed. This is bonsai-style tinkering – I have the Raphix2 installed and wanted to cleanly attach the NSX Type R horn button, button ring, and dedicated hex bolts.
The NSX Type R horn button is a MOMO single-contact type, requiring an adapter near the steering wheel to establish the button ground. However, this adapter’s boss-side diameter is slightly larger than the Raphix2 (though it can still be attached), creating a slight gap between the steering wheel and Raphix. This also made the NSX Type R hex bolts too short to use.
I had been using the NSX Type R horn button and hex setup for a while, but decided to modify the horn button. I soldered a separate ground wire to the button and eliminated the button ground adapter.
I love this rustic vibe (though these screws are gonna rust…)
