An ambush appeared… I struggled so hard to remove this thing… No matter how much I hit the ratchet or tried to grip it with a pipe, it wouldn’t budge at all. So, this is about choosing the right tools without panicking in situations like this.

I had been using a KTC cup wrench for removal and installation, but this time it was no match for the job (tears)

Having failed many times in situations like this, I decided to solve it properly with the right tools. What I got was a SIGNET three-jaw oil filter wrench, with a 1/2 inch drive designed for applying serious torque.

When I tried to turn it with a spinner handle, I struggled because I couldn’t swivel it at all, so I added a long ratchet as well. Now it’s perfect.
