We moved from SACLAM’s factory to the secret base. I switched to a DC2 equipped with the production version of the SACLAM muffler and headed out for a test listening experience
It was a chilly day, but I opened the window and put on my down jacket. Of course, it was “for the sound”
I noticed it as soon as we started driving. The sound at low RPM was clear and refined, with a smooth “cooo” tone
The test course was a mountain pass road with tunnels and walls and mountains surrounding it. When I accelerated to my usual speed range, the sound was again clear, with tension, yet rounded at the edges—a resonant “kwaaaan”
A beautiful sound that is only permissible because of the era it was born in and this engine. This is what luxury means to me. As soon as we returned, I conveyed my intention to order and went back to work. Completion is scheduled for after February
