After replacing the battery, I was driving around to charge it when I heard a resonating sound like “clatter, clatter, clatter” coming from the engine compartment. I stopped the car and opened the hood to find metallic sounds coming from around the engine.

I brought the Integra back to the garage and consulted with TYPEONE. They advised me to start by draining the oil and checking the amount of metal particles, so I drained the engine oil.
The smell was normal, but the amount was low—less than 3 liters. The used oil didn’t have a gritty metallic feel; instead, it had a slimy texture.

I changed the filter, added oil, and let it idle, but the moment I turned the starter, there was that clattering sound again. It quieted down once the oil circulated, but when I gave it a little gas, the clattering came back…
