S2000(e

Red interior conversion – been talking about it since purchasing the S2000. Sebring Silver Metallic with red interior is a masterpiece.

Red interior parts secured when purchasing the S2000. Unbelievably large when boxed. Had many consultation parts, so bought additional pieces at auction.

Originally common early-model black interior. Only seats and floor mats red. Converting this to fully red spec.

S2000 interior replacement is quite a job. Not a quick one-day task. It’s cramped, so seats and removable items come out, remove rear tray behind roll bar – this state is the starting line.

Once rear tray is accessible, center console becomes reachable, then remove roll bar in that flow. Center console involves moving latches and wind deflector from original. Made holes for ETC and other wiring. Installed left and right rear trays – be careful with rear glass heater wiring. OEM roll bar right side – cover-only part unavailable, assembly only. Roll bar left side – adhesive peeled when opened. Manufacturer complaint didn’t go through as purchased two years ago, so had to re-glue.

OEM adhesive method heats cable inside panel to melt and bond. Risk of melting panel too much, so poured bond while installed and secured with masking tape overnight. Bonded cleanly, installed up to center console.

With this much exchange, rear tray to seats red interior conversion complete. Door panels – speaker covers are separate parts, probably extremely low stock. Switches transferred from current parts.

Spectacular. The problem dashboard – consultation item, no new stock. Rarely appears at auction in poor condition. Found one in good condition with passenger airbag cover but gave up at nearly 200,000 yen. Dashboard has many related parts – side covers, audio cover, airbag cover, passenger side lower panel, cosmetic panels covering left and right bolts – doesn’t come together easily.
