It’s been three years since I got my S2000. As summer comes to an end, I find myself driven by the same familiar urge.

These past few years, the brutal heat has made it impossible to drive the S2000 or DB8 during the hot season.
Taking them out in that heat would accelerate their deterioration—I just can’t bring myself to do it.
That’s why I want a daily sports car I can take out regardless of summer heat or rain.
The PORSCHE 911—a car I had also considered when I bought the S2000.
The 911 is often described as the ultimate destination for car enthusiasts, but having never owned one, I don’t really understand that sentiment. So I want to own one and see for myself how I feel about the 911.

Ideally, I’d like a 996/997 generation Carrera or Carrera 4 with Tiptronic.
As a daily sports car, I want to find out how much value it can bring to my everyday commute.
What kind of benchmark will the 911 become for me?
