Completed the 1,000km break-in period. Time for the first oil change. Since this is the first maintenance for the new engine, I observed the used oil and checked how many liters were drained with the changer.

I believe the used oil is black because it properly absorbed the contaminants. This time, there might also be some influence from the assembly oil.
Considering the oil remaining in the drain pan and oil filter, approximately 4.3L was drained. The amount of new oil added and the oil level confirmed on the dipstick both matched up, so I’m relieved.
Combined with the effect of the fresh oil, the new engine runs smoothly. Next, I plan to gradually increase the RPM by 500 at a time while covering another 2,000km.
